The ones who burned your greenness
The ones who planted the weeds
Violated your land ... Stained your land with blood
Blood of your own children
The ones who let me lose my beloveds
I miss you
Miss your air
Miss your hot shiny sun
Miss your nights' lights
Miss your palms
I'm living for the day
To see their breaking
The people who broke my past and destroyed your present
I'm numb... Paralyzed
hoping if i've got something to do
Please GOD
Let me see BAGHDAD rising up again
for the sake of the good people here
for the sake of my IRAQ
But
The burden is so heavy
I'm not sure if it could be held
The scar is so deep
I'm not sure if it could be healed
they cut your vein
four years ago
